Size does matter!

One of the most important things about your watch is how it looks on your wrist. That’s quite an individual matter. We are all built differently, and all have our own ideas about how a watch should look. A few years ago men’s watches tended to be around 36mm in diameter, but that is now regarded as quite small, with many going up to 45mm or more. Much more than this and they can catch on your shirtcuffs!

The only way to be certain is to try it on, and see how it looks on your own wrist. To help with this, we offer a flexible returns policy that lets you try a watch in the comfort of your own home, and send it back if it doesn’t suit you. We also welcome visitors to our premises in Lincoln (by appointment) where you can try a range of watches, not only for size, but to get a better feel of the quality than photographs can give.

For example, these photographs show a George (36mm) and a Chelsea Reach (40mm) on the same wrist: as you can see, four millimetres can make a big difference!
