WHERE CAN I BUY A HAROLD PINCHBECK WATCH
Our watches are made in small numbers. This means that it is not usually practical for retailers to stock them, so we deal direct with our Customers. There are several advantages to this approach: it allows us to make bespoke watches, and, because our prices are not inflated by retail margins, our watches are excellent value.
HOW CAN I VIEW YOUR WATCHES BEFORE BUYING
Watches in our Premier Range are covered by our 90 day guarantee. This enables you to buy a watch without any risk: if, for any reason, you are less than satisfied, we will rectify the watch, exchange it or give you a full refund, less delivery charges. Watches must be returned in new and unused condition and we will deduct from any refund or credit an appropriate amount in respect of any damage, wear and tear, and bespoke elements (including engraving and specially made straps).
Special terms apply to watches from the Limited & Bespoke Collection, as they are made to individual order. If you are thinking of commissioning one of these watches we offer a VIP service, by appointment, in Lincoln. Over refreshments we will discuss your requirements and show you examples, without obligation. Because these are bespoke watches, the 90 day guarantee of satisfaction does not apply, and orders are accepted on this condition (they do, of course, carry our normal 5 year warranty). However, we will, of course, work to ensure your complete satisfaction in the unlikely event that you are not completely happy with your watch as delivered.
CAN I VISIT TO LOOK AT YOUR WATCHES
Yes, we welcome visitors who are considering purchasing one of our watches. However, as we don't have a shop we ask you to make an appointment, preferably at least a week in advance, so that we can devote the attention that your enquiry deserves.
WHAT ARE THE PRICES OF YOUR WATCHES
Prices range from £549 to over £4999 for watches with stainless steel cases, although special features such as individual dial designs and gold cases cost more. Please ask for further information.
WHAT IS THE DELIVERY TIME
Delivery time for Premier Range watches is usually between one and two weeks for quartz watches and between two and four weeks for automatics. Bespoke Collection watches take at least three months, and sometimes longer, depending on the amount of bespoke work. We will always try to deliver by a particular date, so please ask if you need your watch for a special event.
HOW AND WHERE ARE THE WATCHES MADE
All our watches are individually hand-assembled in our workshops in England, and thoroughly inspected and tested before delivery. We use fine Swiss made movements. We work with small precision engineering companies to ensure that as many components as possible are British made.
CAN YOU DELIVER OVERSEAS
Yes, unless it is to one of the few countries to which an insured courier service is not available. The cost of delivery will be added to your order. In certain countries you may have to pay import duty or other taxes: we recommend that you check before ordering, as we cannot accept any liability for such charges.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN QUARTZ AND AUTOMATIC MOVEMENTS
Quartz movements are very accurate, and are powered by a battery that typically lasts up to two years. The watch should only need adjusting when the clocks change, and when there are fewer than 31 days in the month. Automatic movements are mechanically driven, and kept wound by natural wrist movement, although they can also be wound manually. They are accurate to within a few seconds per day. If not worn or moved the watch will stop after a day or two and will need resetting. The seconds hand has an attractive, smooth, 'sweeping' movement. Automatic movements should be serviced regularly, about every three years.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY WATCH
Premier Range watches may be ordered and paid for direct from our website, or by telephone or email. For Bespoke & Limited Collection watches we ask for a non-refundable deposit at the time of ordering, with the balance being payable immediately before delivery. We welcome payment by most debit or credit cards, cheque or bank transfer.
WHAT GUARANTEE DO THE WATCHES HAVE
A 90 day guarantee of satisfaction applies to Premier Range watches. If, for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your watch within 90 days of purchase, we will rectify it without charge, replace it or give you a full refund, less delivery charges. Watches must be returned in new and unused condition and we will deduct from any refund or credit an appropriate amount in respect of any damage, wear and tear, and bespoke elements (including engraving and specially made straps).
Bespoke & Limited Collection watches are, of course, made to order. For this reason, although the ’90 day’ guarantee does not apply to these models, we will, of course, work to ensure your complete satisfaction in the unlikely event that you are not completely happy with your watch as delivered.
Your watch will also be guaranteed for 5 years against mechanical defects or breakdowns. Leather straps are guaranteed for one year. Watches returned to us for repair or servicing should be sent, at the Customer's expense, using an insured delivery service.
WHAT IS THE LIFETIME GUARANTEE
When you buy a Bespoke & Limited Collection watch, we guarantee its movement for your lifetime.
The only condition is that you return the watch to us for a service at least every three years. In fact, the first such service will be free. Although subsequent servicing will be chargeable, it will contribute to your watch’s long life through cleaning, lubrication and replacement of any worn parts, lubrication and testing.
HOW CAN I PERSONALISE MY WATCH
Your watch will be delivered in an attractive wooden presentation box, with a small brass plaque on the lid. If you wish we can engrave your chosen wording on this plaque - there is no charge for this service. We will check with you on receipt of your order. If you do not want personal engraving on the plaque we will engrave our company name on it.

CAN YOU GIFT WRAP MY WATCH
Yes. This is a free optional service, as we understand that if you are giving the watch to someone else you may want to look at it before handing it on. We will check with you on receipt of your order. We use luxury paper and ribbons, and can include a gift tag handwritten with your chosen
