The George: A Timeless Testament

The George has been one of our key offerings for over 15 years now.

Its popularity isn’t surprising. Here at Harold Pinchbeck we are one of the few watchmakers who still cater for those who want a traditionally sized, high quality wristwatch. Over the last decade or so many makers have concentrated on the trend for larger timepieces, seemingly forgetting customers who prefer a more discreet watch to wear.

So at 36mm diameter, the George ticks many boxes for men of all ages, and not only because of its classic size. The clear ‘art deco’ dial design is easy to read at a quick glance, and the handmade (in Devon) leather strap by Tanner Bates enhances the luxurious feel, and continues the theme that this is a watch that’s built to last for many years.

Like every Pinchbeck watch the George is built, by hand, in England and we’re proud to incorporate a beautiful Swiss automatic movement. This keeps the watch wound by the natural movement of your wrist, in fact you can look at its fascinating mechanism through the exhibition caseback.

Other quality details include a screw-down crown for increased water resistance, and sapphire glass for maximum scratch resistance.

All said, the George is a great piece of engineering and a great adornment to your wrist!
