Orpheus: The New Watch from Harold Pinchbeck

We’ve been steadily working on the Orpheus for two years, and now we can show you the first actual photographs of this iconic new watch!

Like the Lincoln watch, the Orpheus is an inspired marriage of exclusive watchmaking and original art. It’s a limited edition, and just 100 examples will be made, each certified, and engraved with its number.

Wear it - or just hold it - and you’re in no doubt that this a quality, luxury timepiece. You’ll love the subtle detailing of the guilloche dial, the intriguing design of the hands, and the depth of polish on the stainless steel case. It’s a tactile watch too, from the satisfying winding action to the lovely aroma of the handmade leather strap. 42mm in diameter, the Orpheus is driven by a fine Swiss manual wind movement, the ETA/Unitas 6498.

The mesmerising progress of the hands reminds us of the preciousness of time, as Orpheus’s lyre coincides hourly with Eurydice’s oakleaf. We have even commissioned a special painting from Toni Watts to illuminate this ancient legend, and we will include an archive-quality print, signed by the artist, with every watch. You can choose to deepen the legend, as your watch’s caseback can incorporate a miniature reproduction of this painting. Alternatively you can opt for a clear exhibition back to display the movement.

Like every Harold Pinchbeck watch, the Orpheus is assembled by hand in an English workshop.

For a limited time you can order your Orpheus at the special price of £2,995. Pay in full with your order, or reserve your watch with a deposit of £1,500. We expect to make the first deliveries in September 2022.
