Aurum - A gentlemanly touch of Gold

Beautiful in its simplicity, the Aurum is enhanced by the discreet use of gold (Aurum is the Latin word for gold).

The Aurum speaks (or ticks) quietly of its owner’s good taste; it doesn’t need to shout. Aurum is the Latin word for gold, and the watch includes touches of this precious element with subtlety, rather than extravagance. If it’s time to celebrate an achievement, or one of life’s landmarks, you can mark the occasion with almost-secret engraving.

The uncluttered dial is crafted in the traditional way by a family concern with 200 years’ experience. Both chapter rings are handmade of brass, then plated in gold, for strength as well as beauty. The hands are heat-blued using a time-honoured method, and the steel case is precision-machined before being expertly polished to a mirror finish: an engraved 18 carat gold disc is then fitted in the caseback. Finally, a Devon craftsman cuts and stitches the strap from your choice of fine hide (you can even have your initials embossed on the strap). All the above is made and assembled in England, a world away from mass production, while the Aurum’s beating heart is a Swiss-made automatic movement: a marvel of miniature engineering that, with care and occasional servicing, will keep you on time for decades.

Your Aurum will be built to order, and delivery will take about 14 weeks. As you would expect, we provide a personal service, and consult you about engraving and other custom elements of your watch. The price is £4,499, and we ask for a deposit of £1,500 (non-refundable as this is a bespoke product), with the balance payable on completion.
