Timeless is an interesting word to describe a watch. In the case of the Pinchbeck Classic it seems quite fitting. It’s a great example of a simple concept that’s beautifully realised, and enduringly stylish. Confident dignity are words that come to mind.

Any Pinchbeck timepiece is never just any watch, and the Classic includes a highly personalised feature that’s so subtle as to be almost secret. Its 40mm steel case holds a gilt ring, between the glass and the dial, that we engrave with your chosen inscription*. To our knowledge no other maker offers this. It’s the perfect enhancement to a lovely gift, ensuring that no two Classics are ever precisely the same.

You can, if you wish, include further personalisation, such as laser engraving on the caseback, and embossed initials on the handmade leather strap.

At the Classic’s core is a fine Swiss movement, and almost every other part is made in England - exclusively for Pinchbeck. These components are not mass-produced, but expertly crafted by specialists; they include the polished steel case, the heat-blued hands, and the leather strap. And, like all Pinchbeck watches, it is painstakingly assembled and thoroughly tested in an English workshop before being signed off for handover to its Owner.

When you order a Classic we will consult with you about the finer details of caseback engraving and the handmade leather strap. The price is £3,999, and as this is a bespoke watch we ask for a non-refundable deposit of £1,500.

The Classic is built to individual order: there’s usually a waiting list, but it is, after all, a timeless timepiece…
