Look to the past, present and future

The motto of my school was ‘Respice, Aspice, Prospice’.

I wasn’t among the favoured few to learn Latin, so was sent to the woodwork shop! However, I knew that the English translation was ‘Look to the past, present and future’. Decades later it could be the motto of Harold Pinchbeck Ltd.

Looking to the past, we are naturally proud of our family’s heritage in clock and watchmaking, with its roots in 18th Century London. We embrace traditional aspects of watchmaking, many of which are ideal for a company of our size, and partners such as Tanner Bates use time-honoured techniques to produce beautiful straps and accessories.

Turning to the present, we also love to work with partners who are at the cutting edge in fields such as laser measuring and cutting, CAD and CNC. At the same time, we know that our customers live very much in the present! We pull out all the stops to provide them with beautiful, reliable timepieces together with the excellent service that makes ownership of a Pinchbeck watch a pleasure.

And what of the future?

We are always looking forwards. Our aim, in this rapidly changing world, is to create new and exciting watches, sometimes in limited editions; forever elegant, and built to endure beyond the whims of fashion.
